White office paper

  ( 47  products )

White paper, a staple of all the offices

All offices need a good white paper supply for either printing of writing purposes. However, considering who prints what, the paper might be different. For example, the design team will probably request a3 paper in order to print their creative artwork, while the buying department will simply look for a4 paper to print its invoices.

As the difference in white paper size can be confusing, Lyreco defines it for you below. If you need paper that is not a4 paper size or a3 paper size, you can explore our full range of paper here.

What is A4 paper?

A4 white office paper is the size the most commonly used to print documents, such as magazine, letters, catalogues and forms. The a4 paper size is 210 X 297 MM (8.27 X 11.69 inches). If you fold it twice, it fits in a C6 envelope (114 X 162 MM). You can find the matching envelope range here.

What is the good resolution to print on a4 paper?

If you aim to print an image full size on an a4 paper, you need a minimum resolution. If you would like to print a good quality picture, that is visible from short distance, the image should be 2480 X 3508 pixels (at 300ppi). Those are the most commonly used for books, brochures, magazine, photo books…

At 150 ppi, you will need a 1240 X 1754 pixels picture: minimum resolution used for posters.

What is A3 paper size?

A3 paper size is the perfect dimension for drawings and diagrams printing. This type of white office paper is often used in laser printing. A3 paper is 297 X 420 MM (11.69 X 16.54 inches). If you fold an a3 paper sheet in two (shorter side), you will get an a4 paper size.

What is the good resolution to print on a3 paper?

To print a good quality image, full size, on an a3 paper, you should follow the below directions.

At 300ppi, you will need a 3508 X 4961 pixels images, that is a correct combination for magazines and brochure printing.

A 1754 X 2480 pixels picture at 150 ppi works for posters.

A new toner to print more pages?

If you print many pages, you might need to purchase a new toner. Lyreco offers a vast range of toner and cartridges and provide some valuable directions in order to help you to find the one you need. You can even find a quick guide here.
